Progress Update for CPD Steering Group
A very successful meeting of the CPD Steering Group took place on Wednesday 22nd October 2008, at DSA headquarters in Nottingham. The purpose of the meeting was to update the Steering Group on progress to date in relation to developing the components and supporting processes for a structured CPD framework for the driver trainer profession.

Stepping forward
The working group has held further meetings during June and August on developing proposals for a Continuing Professional Development voluntary structured scheme. The findings from the work carried out by the working group will be presented to the Steering Group who will meet in Nottingham on the 22nd October 2008.

On the road to CPD
Following on from the recent very successful CPD steering group meeting in April, the working group met in Nottingham on Thursday 22nd May 2008. More work is taking place in regard to Phase 1, particularly around communication; however the main focus is now on developing proposals for Phase 2, a voluntary structured scheme.
